Erik Steighner teaches saxophone and chamber music at Pacific Lutheran University, the University of Puget Sound, and Tacoma Community College. He has also taught at Texas State University and The University of Texas at Austin.
A sought-after adjudicator, Dr. Steighner regularly judges at festivals and competitions and has been an instructor at numerous camps and clinics. His students have won concerto competitions, placed first at state-level solo and ensemble contests, and gone on to graduate programs in saxophone performance.
