Erik Steighner teaches saxophone and chamber music at Pacific Lutheran University, the University of Puget Sound, and Tacoma Community College. He has also taught at Texas State University and The University of Texas at Austin. He regularly adjudicates at festivals and competitions and has been an instructor at numerous camps and clinics. His students have won concerto competitions, placed first at state-level solo/ensemble contests, and continued on to graduate programs in saxophone performance.
